Message: Driving on I-95, my "check engine" light started flashing and my car began running roughly. I took the first exit and used my smart phone to find the closest mechanic. Its a very vulnerable position to be in a unknown town, far from home and have to deal with an unknown garage. How lucky was I that I ended up at Antonino's in Westerly, RI. First of all, the owner recognized that I was on my way to a meeting in Boston and he immediately freed up one of their bays for my car. The initial computer diagnosis showed that I had a cylinder that was not firing. Could have been a number of reasons for this. Ended up, they replaced a faulty spark-plug and charged me for one hour of labor. A less ethical garage could have fleeced me for a coil, cable, or who knows what. This garage was very clean, organized, and staffed with polite gentlemen. You can tell by the number of cars in their lot that they have a successful operation. I feel fortunate to have stumbled upon Antonino's.
